The website exploregobeklitepe.com and the companion app are operated by Pixelo Mobile Ltd. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy.
We are an independent educational and visitor resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Göbekli Tepe excavation, the German Archaeological Institute (DAI), the Şanlıurfa Museum, UNESCO, or the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

We use the following third-party services to operate the Göbekli Tepe guide. Each has its own privacy practices — follow the links for detail. We have a UK-GDPR Article 28 data processing agreement in place (or equivalent standard terms) with each of them.
Some of these transfer data to the USA. Where they do, we rely on the UK's adequacy decision for the USA (Data Bridge, 2023) or Standard Contractual Clauses as appropriate.
This guide is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Accounts are not offered to minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
The Göbekli Tepe guide and its companion app are free to use, and we do not sell tickets, tours or any paid product. We do not take payment from visitors. If we introduce any paid feature in future, you will generally have a 14-day right to cancel under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — and we will update this policy before doing so.
You can de-identify your account and request erasure of your content at any time:
When you delete your account we immediately replace your name, email and any profile details with placeholder values, delete your saved enclosures and articles, and invalidate all your sessions. You can request full removal of any content under Article 17 of UK-GDPR by emailing us with the word "FULL ERASURE" in the subject. Full details: /delete-account.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
